Jetstar Asia, a Singapore-based airline, on Monday spread its wings to India by commencing its flight operations between Bangalore and Singapore five times a week.

Addressing a press conference in Bangalore, Acting CEO of Jetstar Asia Mr Neil Thompson said the introductory fare has been fixed at Rs 8,000 plus taxes (exclusive of food and beverages). The Jetstar Asia flights operating every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday would depart from Bangalore at 3.35 am (IST) and arrive at Singapore's Changi Airport at 10.25 am (local time) th e same morning. The return flight from Singapore departs at 1:25 am (local time) arriving in Bangalore at 2:55 am (IST).

The tickets are available at the website at www.JetstarAsia.com or through the Jetstar Asia office on 3989 2233. The bookings can also be done through travel agents.
