Prepaid autorickshaw stands to be inaugurated

BANGALORE: Commissioner of Police Ajai Kumar Singh will inaugurate three new pre-paid autorickshaw stands at Mahatma Gandhi Road, Commercial Street and Airport on Wednesday. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-East) M. Abdullah Saleem, the inaugural function will be held at 4 p.m. at the pre-paid autorickshaw stand that will come up near Barton Centre, between Anil Kumble Circle and the Brigade Road junction, on Mahatma Gandhi Road. As autorickshaws are not allowed on Commercial Street, the pre-paid autorickshaw stand will be set up at the junction of the Kamaraj Road and Dickenson Road. Mr. Saleem said. Mr. Saleem said there are plans to start two more pre-paid autorickshaw stands, one near the Cauvery Emporium on Mahatma Gandhi Road and another near the Forum Mall on Hosur Road.
