In a bid to protest against bad roads, hundreds of residents living in Kaggadasapura and Vigyan Nagar (behind BEML) took to the streets on Thursday morning and blocked the roads for several hours.

According to a press release, the protesters blocked vehicular movement to drive home their point.

The road that connects Kaggadasapura- DRDO Phase II in C V Raman Nagar and Bagmane Tech Park has not been repaired for more than 4 years, they claimed.

Immediate action should be taken by the civic authorities to improve the condition of the roads, was their sole demand.

Peaceful

Meanwhile, Thursday passed off peacefully in Koramangala, though citizens continued to keep a watch after the crackdown on building bye-laws and zonal regulation violations.

The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) too had eased off. When contacted the BMP officials maintained, ‘no action is slated for today’.

A section of corporators and city legislators were, meanwhile, pursuing the matter at the government-level.
