The Bangalore City Traffic Police have advised the commuters to avoid Hosur Main Road, Madivala Road and the adjoining roads on Monday.

A large stretch of Hosur road is inundated with at least two feet of water following heavy rains since Saturday night.

As a result, vehicular traffic on Hosur and Madivala roads are expected to move at a snail’s pace on Monday. Commuters have been advised to take alternate routes — Bannerghatta Road (J D Mara-Meenakshi Temple-Anekal Road-Bommasandra) and Sarjapur Road (Iblur junction-Kaigondanahalli-Parappana Agrahara).

The police have also suggested that commuters travelling towards Electronic City should start early to reach their destinations.
