The three-member committee of retired engineers set up by the High Court to assess the quality of road works in the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike area is likely to have its first meeting either on Friday or Saturday, BMP Technical Advisor R Jayaprasad who is also a member of the committee said on Thursday.

As per the High Court directions, the committee would be assessing the work on all class and types of roads including those funded by the World Bank, he said. The committee will have to first draft for itself a framework of work, he noted.

Queried on the terms of reference for assessment, Mr Jayaprasad noted that the BMP had prepared one such earlier for the assessment of arterial and sub-arterial roads.
