According to the Meteorological department, Bangalore received 41.6 mm rainfall between 8.30 am on Saturday and 8.30 pm on Sunday. The forecast for Monday is generally cloudy during the day with rain or thunder storms likely towards evening.

On Sunday evening between 5.30 and 8.30 Airport area recorded 62 mm rainfall. The rest of the city recorded 7.2 mm.

Airport sources clarified that there has been no disruption of services any. All flights are on schedule.

Mayor R Narayanaswamy who was among the entourage that saw off Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekawat at the Airport on Sunday evening said that he had himself observed water logging in some places along the way.

The BMP staff is at work wherever relief is needed, he said. While residents in JP Nagar complained of lack of power supply since Saturday night, on Sunday evening residents off Indiranagar CMH Road area too reported power problems. Complaints of uprooted trees came from Srinagar, Mathikere, Yeshwanthpur, Mahalakshmipuram, Jeevanbhimanagar, HMT Layout, Ganganagar Pillappa Block and others.
