BANGALORE: Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise Limited (NICE) has said the alignment for its 41-km peripheral road is on the basis of 1995 Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) and is approved by Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) in 1998.

Misleading statements in that regard are aimed at spreading further misinformation to public, NICE said in a release.

The company said it wishes to back planners, who have suggested that the 15-metre ‘no construction zone’ on both sides of the peripheral road being built by it, to be used as service road for people who do not want to pay toll.

‘‘All necessary approvals were taken and the entire project will be implemented as per law. We are busy implementing the order of the Supreme Court, which has directed us to expedite the project,’’ the NICE release added.
