Bangalore: The Bangalore City Corporation (BCC) is carrying out a fresh survey of all the buildings in Koramangala, in light of the large-scale violations in land-use.

Following a High Court order, the BCC conducted a survey of 92 buildings in Koramangala, as urged by the area residents, who had filed a writ petition. The engineers had found that 99 per cent of the buildings had deviations in the land-use. While the original land-use approval was for residential purpose, it was changed to commercial usage — right from IT firms, offices, hotels and even light industries. Now, the BCC has taken up a survey of the entire area which has over 4,000 properties. A 11-member team has been formed to carry out the job and so far, nearly 1,900 properties have been surveyed.
