Master Plan 2015 for the city – the proposed draft Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) – for the next 10 years is now scheduled to go on display for public viewing from July 11. The proposed CDP will be up for viewing in the form of maps and documents. It comprises five volumes. The display will be held at Yavanika as planned.
"We could not go ahead as planned earlier on June 27 due to technical snags", says T C Kathyayini, Public Relations Officer, Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). "Now we have cleared the way for the exhibition. The public can come and have a look at the proposed CDP and share their thoughts with us", she adds. Two presentations daily by BDA officials followed by interactive sessions will be held as scheduled.
These presentations will be made at 10.30 am and 2.30 pm. They will throw light on the different major features of the CDP. The interactive sessions will facilitate clarifications if needed on any aspect of the CDP. The exhibition will be on for 60 days till September 18. It will be open on all working days from 10 am to 5 pm.
"Printed forms will be made available at the venue for feedback from the public. They can be downloaded from our website (www.bdabangalore. org) or obtained from our e-pragati kiosks. All feedback and comments are to be made only on these forms", she says. An acknowledgement will be issued for the comments received.
This is an opportunity for the citizens and NGOs to play a part in the planning and development of the city. The CDP covers all zones including residential, commercial, and green belt. It aims at structured development and growth of the city for an estimated population of 88 lakhs by the year 2015.

The CDP display is going on as per the revised schedule. Keeping the tag of IT Capital of country, it would have great help for the citizen of Bangalore if it was published on Internet. BDA would have got more response and constructive ideas from the people who made Bangalore there home and given the tag of IT Capital
