BANGALORE: Can you imagine speeding through the core of the city without facing a single traffic light? Well, the Comprehensive draft Master Plan 2015 proposes this.

The six-land Core Ring Road will pass through Seshadri Road, Kasturba Road, Cubbon Road, Ulsoor Road, Millers Road, Basaveshwara Circle and Race Course Road. "The roads will be widened for the project and no left or right turns will be allowed on them," said an urban planner with the French consultancy firm SEC Creocean, which drew up the Master Plan for the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). The Core Ring Road is expected to be part of the major infrastructure of the city along with the Intermediate Ring Road, the Outer Ring Road and the Peripheral Ring Road.

The Master Plan proposes developing a system of road grids between the five areas between the five radial roads and the ring roads.
