Hilton International has signed a management contract for a 250-unit Hilton Residences in Bangalore at the Embassy Golf Links Business Park.

The Hilton Residences Bangalore, which offers one, two and three bedroom units, will be the only five-star serviced apartment hotel in the city of Bangalore, an HI statement said.

The property is surrounded by five million square foot of commercial space and overlooks a golf course, it said.

Hilton Middle East and Asia Pacific president Koos Klein said, "In all my travels, I have never seen such an impressive business park. Already, blue chip tenants like Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Microsoft and Daimler Chrysler have signed up for office space that will accommodate up to 50,000 employees by December this year.

"It is our hope that Hilton Residences will become a short and mid-term home for the world's top engineers, software specialists and business people especially from the USA, UK and continental Europe."

The Embassy Group, based in Bangalore, belongs to Jitu Virwani and has 30 buildings covering 10 million square feet.

The Hilton Residences Bangalore, which is due for completion in 2007, will feature 250 apartments ranging from 54 square metres to 180 square metres.
