BANGALORE DEMANDS ACTION!
Silent Protest by citizens of Bangalore on delay in Airport Road Flyover Project
June 7, 2005 (Tuesday)
Citizens of Bangalore are joining hands to protest against the inordinate delay in completion of the Airport Road Flyover project. The delay in key infrastructure projects has put all of us to great hardships.
IT IS TIME FOR US TO DEMAND ACTION!
To support our demand for completion of this project on top priority basis, there will be a Silent Protest on the footpaths of Airport Road and 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar on 7th June (Tuesday) from 9 – 10 a.m.:
Supporters are requested to be present at any of the 4 meeting points mentioned below by 8.30 a.m.:
On the footpath near TGIF (i.e. located in Carlton Towers, on the left side just after the Airport Road signal, while proceeding to the Airport)
On the footpath outside Anjaneya Complex (located just after the airport road signal to the right after Diamond District and before the Petrol Bunk)
On the service road in front of Shanthi Sagar in Domlur (located to the right before the Airport Road and 100 feet Road-Indiranagar Ring Road junction)
The BDA Park in Domlur (located to the left before the free left turn to 100 feet Road-Indiranagar before the traffic signal)
A team leader will guide you appropriately. All organisers will be wearing black scarves for easy identification. A signature campaign will support the silent protest. Stickers will also be given to you to display on your cars/vehicles/helmets till such time as the government completes the flyover and other pending projects.
The entire Campaign will be characterised by “Black”- black stickers, armbands, banners, etc. So do wear white for this to stand out.
LEND YOUR SUPPORT TO SAVE BANGALORE.
AWAKE! ARISE! UNITE!
