With emphasis on the safety of school-going children the government is working on regulating Bangalore’s chaotic traffic, Chief Minister Dharam Singh said on Saturday.

Traffic management, ‘especially Bangalore traffic’ is an area of concern for the government, the chief minister noted during his reply to the discussion on the Governor’s address in Legislative Council.

The students of the city’s Mount Carmel College alone account for the use of 600 cars on Bangalore’s roads each day, he observed and said t hat a plan where 35 buses should be able to reach all the students is being worked out.
A committee of retired police officers has been formed to give suggestions, he said.
