Lufthansa to launch more flights

The Economic Times

NEW DELHI: Taking advantage of the limited 'open sky' policy, Lufthansa on Thursday announced it would launch two additional flights from Bangalore and one from Delhi to Frankfurt each week to meet the increased traffic demand in the peak season.

This would bring the total number of flights from Delhi to four and from Bangalore to seven flights a week, a Lufthansa spokesperson said.

With these additional flights, the German national carrier will be operating 35 flights from Indian destinations till March next year so long as the 'open sky' policy remains in operation.

Besides Delhi and Bangalore, Lufthansa operates to Frankfurt from Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. It also operates four flights a week between Delhi and Munich.
