"Kannada" activists threaten more violence

‘BE READY TO FACE ACTION’
Deccan Herald

Kannada Rakshana Vedike on Saturday warned the theatre owners of “dire consequences” if the latter do not stop screening new non-Kannada movies in the city. “We will not be responsible if the Vedike members carry out an attack again. They must stop screening new movies or should be ready to face action,” the Vedike President Narayan Gowda warned.

Isn't this outrageous? People threaten to breach the peace with impunity and they get away scot free. Or am I mistakenly secure in the unfounded belief that we live in a civilized society which is governed by laws?
