The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday directed the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to implead affected parties in a public interest litigation challenging playing loud music at public places.

Former police commissioner P Kodandaramaiah has approached the High Court alleging that the BBMP has not initiated any action to curb playing loud music at public places in the City.
A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice Manjula Chellur directed the Palike to implead the parties affected by an interim order passed by the court.
