Heavy rains disrupt traffic
Bangalore, June 9, DHNS:

Several trees were uprooted at various places due to heavy rains that lashed the City on Wednesday evening.

The downpour which commenced around 5 pm continued for well over an hour.

Traffic was thrown out of gear at several places as drains overflowed inundating the roads.
Commuters were stranded on Adugodi Road, Cox Town and Johnson Market when the overflowing drainage water and the rainwater flooded the roads.

Vehicular movement was affected when trees on R V Road, 10th 'D' Cross of Jayanagar 1st Block, CMC Road in Byatarayanapura, Graphite India Road, Hoodi, Prakash Nagar 15th Main Road; and AECS Layout, Jeevanahalli, near Kavalbyrasandra bus stand, and Dodda Ganapathi Temple in Ulsoor, were uprooted.
