The hot and humid Friday turned out to be cool one towards evening as it rained continuously.

The rains, which began around 7.30 pm, lasted till late in the night. The continuous rainfall partially affected normal life. The rainfall slowed down vehicular movement on several roads and traffic jams were reported from a few areas.

However, the traffic police ensured the smooth traffic flow.

The rainfall did not create any havoc except for water-logging in a few low-lying areas for sometime. There no reports of house damage and trees coming crashing down. The City recorded 15.4 mm rainfall City, while the Airport 12.0 mm rainfall.

The rainfall dipped the maximum temperature by one degree Celsius. The City recorded maximum temperature of 32 degree Celsius, while the minimum was 23.8 degree Celsius. Forecast for Saturday too spells, cloudy weather accompanied by light thunder showers.
