Pipeline work begins on Old Madras Road

Work on replacement of drinking water pipelines for a distance of 500 metres commenced at 10 am on Old Madras Road on Monday.

According to a top BWSSB official, pipelines were laid for a distance of 12 metres by evening. The work began in the location in front of B T S Garage up to S V Road on Old Madras Road, he added.

An additional six metres would be completed by night. The work will be taken up round the clock next week, he added. It is part of the pipeline replacement work being undertaken all along the Old Madras Road to replace leaky pipelines with those of better quality.
