Kheny denies Gowda’s allegations

Kheny denies Gowda’s allegations
Bangalore, March 6, DHNS:

Rubbishing all allegations of land grabbing and atrocities on farmers made by former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, Ashok Kheny, Managing Director, Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises Limited said that this attitude of Gowda is affecting the development in the State.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Kheny said: “Ever since the project started in 1995, we have been taken to the court more than 400 times. These frequent litigations have led to escalation of cost of the project from the original cost of Rs 15,000 crore to Rs 60,000 crore.”

Pointing out that the investors were shying away from the State, he said: “Japanese investors are refusing to come here, because they know Deve Gowda.”

Gowda family land

On Gowda’s statement that his family does not possess any land along BMIC route, Kheny said 44 acres of land at Kithaganahalli is in the name of H D Kumaraswamy and 47 acres of land at Devegere near Kengeri belongs to family members of Balakrishna. The land worth is Rs 1,500 crore, he alleged.
