Bus day on March 4

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), along with the traffic police, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, NGO’s and like-minded citizens will be observing ‘Bus Day’ on March 4.

The second ‘Bus Day’ will be observed in the area falling between Old Madras Road and Bannerghatta Road, covering the Marathahalli-Kadugodi Road, Koramangala-Sarjapura Road, Ring Road-Hosur Road and Dairy Circle-Bannerghatta Road.

The BMTC will operate more than 100 additional services on these five roads from Vijayanagar, Yeshwanthpur, Koramangala, Shanthinagar, Jayanagar, Hebbal, Banashankari, along with 50 local feeder services in the areas.

On the eve of the Bus Day, BMTC will be introducing one Vajra service each from BTM Layout and Jeevanbhima nagara to the Central Administrative District for the benefit of office-goers. The Bus Day campaign has been taken up by the BMTC as an effort to improve traffic management and reduce air-pollution in the City by requesting the public to shift to public transport system.
