Traffic congestion, slow development irk Guv

Governor H R Bhardwaj on Thursday said he was upset with the traffic congestion and slow pace in which the infrastructure projects progressed in the City. He blamed them on maladministration and neglect of duty.

Speaking at a summit on e-governance, the Governor said he asks VIPs who visit him in Raj Bhavan visit the IT sector in Bangalore. But road connectivity and traffic does not give a good picture of the City, he noted. He also drew attention to the skewed development in the City. When one visits areas near Vidhan Soudha, the seat of power, one gets the impression that the city is “fabulous,” while it is deplorable in certain other areas, he added.
