Elevated Hosur road to open on Friday
NEW DELHI, DHNS:

Motorists commuting to Electronic City can heave a sigh of relief as the much-awaited Hosur Road Elevated Expressway will be thrown open to public on January 22. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Kamal Nath will inaugurate the expressway.

“The four-lane expressway was built at a cost of Rs 880 crore. It is 15 metres wide. This road will run above the six-lane existing highway,” a senior official in the National Highway Authority of India told Deccan Herald.

Motorists will take less than 20 minutes to cover the distance between Bommanahalli—just after the Central Silk Board Junction—and Electronic City, which currently takes about one hour during peak hours, the official said.
