BDA to take up five more road projects
Bangalore, Nov 7, DHNS:

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will take up five new projects at an estimated cost of Rs 189 crore to facilitate signal free flow of traffic along the 62-km length Outer Ring Road.


The approval was accorded at the Authority meeting held here on Saturday to take up a flyover at Bhadrappa Extension along the ORR between Hebbal flyover and Tumkur Road, construction of additional loop and improvement of junction at K R Puram flyover, creation of facility for free turn towards Bellary Road for the vehicles coming from Marathally and construction of a grade separator at Nayandahally at the junction of ORR and Mysore Road beside construction of flyover at Nagavara junction.

The total estimated cost of these works is Rs 189 crore. The break up is Rs 31 crore for the construction of flyover at Bhadrappa Extension along the ORR; Rs 15 crore for the construction of additional loop and improvement of junction at K R Puram flyover, Rs 36 crore for creation of facility for free turn towards Bellary Road for vehicles coming from Marathahalli and Rs 72 crore for the construction of grade separator at Nayandahalli at the junction of ORR and Mysore Road and Rs 35 crore for the construction of flyover at Nagavara junction.

The Authority also approved the tenders to take up junction improvement at Kadubeesanahally and Mahadevapura junctions at a cost of Rs 39 crore and Rs 36 crore respectively.
