BANGALORE: The cost-effective underpasses on Bellary Road is proving expensive for BBMP as it is fast becoming unsafe for motorists.
With just over 30 mm rainfall for two days last week, the recently inaugurated magic box at Sanjay Nagar sank nearly three inches. Besides, the asphalt on the underpass wore out, creating a huge crater.
However, BBMP was quick to fix the road leaving patches on the surface before opening it for traffic after Monday.
