Metro accidents: No cause for worry, says Task Chief
Bangalore, Oct 14,dhns:

The chairman of the Quality Control Task Force on Infrastructure Projects of the State Government, Dr C S Vishwanath on Tuesday said despite on-site accidents at ‘Namma Metro’ in various parts of the City, there is no cause for worry.


Speaking to Deccan Herald here, he said, “The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited must ensure that their contractors or engineers and others concerned with the project, comply with all safety measures during construction. I understand that they have an independent body of international experts on Metro Rail (General Consultants) to advice them on precautions to be adhered to while going about their work”

Precautions
Vishwanath said the BMRCL had informed the expert committee of the Task Force on precautions being followed by them.

“We are again meeting N Sivasailam, managing director of BMRCL to discuss safety and quality aspects pertaining to the Bangalore Metro project” he added.
