BANGALORE: Infrastructure development projects in Bangalore seem have been stuck midway for one reason or the other. The construction of Magadi Road and West of Chord Road junction underpass are no exceptions too. The delay in these projects is causing various problems to the residents and the road users.

Sridhar, a traffic constable attached to Vijayanagar Police station said: ''Due to the construction work, the road has become very congested and it is very difficult to regulate traffic. Many roads have been converted into one-ways and people have to go take a longer route to reach nearby places.''

Venkatesh, a resident, said that there was a lot of dust and noise due to the construction work.

Raju, a worker at Ganapathi Service Station said: ''Not many people come to the service station. Two-and-a-half years ago we were doing good business and now we are incurring losses.''

Mallika, the proprietor of Instart Battery House, said that the construction work had an impact on her business. This was because people in the next lane had to travel at least two kilometres to reach the shop.
