Tipper rams into makeshift temple

Tipper rams into makeshift temple
Bangalore, DHNS:
Tension prevailed near R V Road Circle in the City after a tipper lorry rammed into a decade-old makeshift temple, on early Tuesday morning...

Around 5:45 am, the truck driver lost control and dashed against Muneshwara temple, that protruded about six feet from the footpath towards the road. Police said driver Sreenivasa escaped abandoning the vehicle.

As the news spread, a big crowd gathered at the spot. Timely intervention by truck owner Akmal Sherief of Sun Shine Enterprises and the local MLA helped to ease the tension. The police had made elaborate security arrangements. Meanwhile, temple owner Shiva Kumar played a major role in restoring peace. The moment Akmal offered to bear the cost of repair, he welcomed it.

Sources said there was a litigation pending over 40x50 plot in the court between Shivakumar and the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.
