Government takes a NICE decision

The State government on Tuesday reportedly cleared four key hurdles on the Peripheral Ring Road and Link Road of the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project being executed by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE).
The Empowered Committee, headed by the chief secretary Sudhakar Rao, is learnt to have cleared the land acquisition for NICE near Hosakerehalli, Kanakapura, Magadi Road apart from construction of a bridge across Mysore - Bangalore SH 17.
The Committee, according to sources, allotted 5 acres 39 guntas of land in Sy. No. 15 of Hosakerehalli village. To provide entry and exit ramps to Peripheral Ring Road, NICE has been allotted 9 acres 14 guntas in Thalaghattapura village.
Further, 4 acres 2.5 Guntas in U M Kaval village was allotted by the Committee to facilitate ramps and slip roads for the Peripheral Ring Road and to relocate the Extra High Tension electric power line.
The government has also reportedly approved construction of a bridge across Mysore - Bangalore road (SH-17) apart from 14 acres and 2 guntas in Kengeri village for construction of ramps and slip road to provide entry and exit to the PRR, said the sources.
