BANGALORE: The High Court on Tuesday ordered the Vishwabharathi House Building Co-operative Society to furnish its Hosakerehalli 4th Phase layout plan and the list of site allottees.

Dealing with the petition filed by Sudha Acharya and others, the Court has ordered the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) not to demolish the compound wall around the sites.

In its 4th Phase plan, the Society had allotted sites while the same land was acquired by the BDA. When the petitioner challenged the BDA’s move, the Court had suggested that the Government allot sites in bulk to these allottees.

Last year, the BDA had decided to allot the acquired sites in bulk to the petitioners. Though the BDA had fixed a rate of Rs 2,100 per square metre, the petitioners refused to accept it.

Meanwhile, the BDA had started demolition process in the acquired land. Challenging the move, the petitioners argued that the BDA had no power to demolish construction in the property.

Justice Hulavadi G Ramesh ordered the BDA to submit a statement with regard to the acquired property.
