Pre-monsoon showers lash B’lore

BANGALORE: Pre-monsoon rains lashed Bangalore on Saturday. The City Meteorological Department on Saturday recorded 63.8 mm rainfall while the Airport Meteorological Centre recorded 6.2 mm rainfall.
The City Meteorological Department has forecast pre-monsoon showers for the next couple of days. Meteorological officials said South West monsoon showers have not yet set in over the State.
The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) control room was flooded with calls from citizens with grievances.
Six tree fall complaints have been recorded at the City at Hudson Circle, Infantry Road, Sheshadripuram 1st Main, Sampige Road, near Rajajinagar Ananya Hospital and Sirsi Circle on Mysore Road.
Two water clogging complaints were reported from Chamarajpet 4th Cross and Malleswaram pipeline area. Traffic snarls were also reported in various parts of the City
