Surprise drizzle brings respite

Surprise drizzle brings respite
TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Bangalore: Even as the summer peaks and the morning sun scorches one and all, the city found some respite late on Tuesday.
Some areas reported drizzles and light showers in the evening, taking people by surprise.
While parts of the city centre — including MG Road and Cubbon Road — had a good, steady drizzle, pockets in southern parts of the city like Bannerghatta Road and BTM Layout recorded drizzle bursts.
The spurts, though, didn’t last beyond 15 to 20 minutes. Officials in the meteorological department traced the sudden drizzle to the peaking daytime temperatures.
With the city clocking a temperature high of around 35 degrees Celsius, Wednesday could also have its share of showers, Met officials said.
