Chief Minister H D Kumaraswa-my on Sunday said he would order an inquiry into Saturday’s “incident” at the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project site in Hemmigepura near Kengeri. Talking to Deccan Herald from Dubai, Mr Kumaraswamy said he had received information about the incident and felt a detailed inquiry was necessary. “Is it possible for the villagers to dig up the stretch within hours? I feel a JCB must have been used. Anyway, I will order the inquiry once I reach Bangalore on Monday,” he said.

JD(S) leader H D Deve Gowda speaking to reporters in Mysore said whatever decision the State government takes on the BMIC project, it will not amount to contempt of court. On former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiahís statement that the government will be in trouble if it takes over the project, he said, “he (Mr Siddaramaiah) is a law graduate. So he has stated like that”.
