100 acres to house private and government hosptials

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Government is planning to set up a health park on the lines of the Information Technology Park shortly in Bangalore city, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy announced on Monday.

He said the Government is looking to develop 100 acres of land, within the city or with easy access to it, for a health park that will have government and private hospitals. The health care centres in the park will offer facilities of international standards, he added at the inauguration of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology's "nuclear cardiology wing".

Mr. Kumaraswamy said with international information technology and biotechnology companies setting up operations in the State, there is a need to ensure that facilities are world class.
