After a long day of violence and arson on Thursday, the City limped back to normal late in the evening.

Autorickshaws and private vehicles were seen plying on the arterial roads of the City. Shops and business establishments were open in some interior parts.

But the areas surrounding the Kanteerava Studio were tense and resembled a war zone even hours after the funeral of Rajkumar.

The situation, however, was brought under control by the police. Police Commissioner and other senior officials walked up to the main gate of the studio to pep up the morale of the police personnel.

Later, autorickshaws displaying Rajkumar’s posters and blaring out their hero’s hit songs started plying on the roads. At the Yeshwanthpur bus station, Matadors, Maxicabs and private buses started ferrying passengers to Majestic bus stand and other areas.

Friday promises to be a normal day as the BMTC and KSRTC buses will hit the roads again.
