BANGALORE: Bangalore-based Brigade Group, a leading property developer in the country, has started construction work of an Integrated Urban Neighbourhood.
The Neighbourhood with a 30-storeyed office space and various modern amenities like school, hospital, multiplex cinema hall, mall and star hotel in a 40 acre premises at Malleswaram-Rajaji Nagar region here is a whooping Rs 1500 crore.
The proposed office space would come up in about one million sq ft of area as the tallest building in the state and would be located in the middle of the lifestyle enclave.
The 11-screen multiplex inside the proposed mall would be set up by PVR Group and it would be the largest in the country with over 3,000 seating capacity. On its part, the Columbia Asia Healthcare has agreed to set up a 152-bedded hospital inside the premise with a number of specialisations.
There would be over 1200 luxury apartments inside the complex. Multi-level car parking, public school, galaxy club, convenience stores and a two-acre man-made lake also comprises its attractions.
More than 6,000 cars can be parked inside the complex. Briefing newspersons here, Brigade Group managing director M R Jaishankar informed that it would be a world-class enclave with exquisite architecture.
Rainwater harvesting, maintaining of existing trees and planting of new tree saplings would ensure it a cool and green surroundings.
Designed by New York-based HOK Builders, it would be fully operational within three years. However, a few facilities like the hospital would be started very soon in the first phase. “We wish to create innovative places that enrich the experience of living,” Jaishankar said.
The Brigade Gateway would cater to residential, commercial, leisure and entertainment needs of residents of North Bangalore and the construction works to be conducted based on the best practices of modern town planning, which incorporates a fine blend of engineering and architectural excellence, he added.
The brigade group is currently undertaking projects worth Rs 3,000 crore in Bangalore and Mysore, according to him.
