The Cabinet on Thursday directed Principal Secretary, Urban Development department, to submit a report on whether a flyover was necessary near Minerva Circle in Bangalore.

According to sources, though the Government was against the flyover project in the above location, Bangalore Urban district in-charge Minister R Ramalinga Reddy was in favour of it. Chief Minister N Dharam Singh is reported to have directed the Principal Secretary, Urban Development department Shamim Banu to look into the details and submit a report to the government at the earliest.

The Minerva Circle flyover is among the several flyovers proposed in Bangalore City to ease traffic congestion.
