BANGALORE: The BDA is planning two underpasses, one at the Ramamurthynagar main road and other at the Magadi Road-Chord Road junction.

The Ramamurthynagar underpass is estimated to cost Rs 22 crore and the Magadi Road-Chord Road underpass Rs 27.1 crore.

‘‘The project will be completed within eight months from the date of commencement,’’ BDA Commissioner M N Vidyashankar said.

The underpass at Magadi Road-Chord Road will come as a boon to commuters going towards Vijayanagar, Rajajinagar, Magadi Road and Chord Road.

This is a major junction and has heavy traffic around the day. The same is the case with Ramamurthynagar main road, which has traffic flowing to and from Krishnarajapura, Outer Ring Road and Old Madras Road.

The Airport Road flyover is expected to be completed by August 2006. The Jayadeva flyover will be ready by December 2006.

The Anand Rao Circle flyover will be BDA’s Rajyotsava gift and will be open by the end of November.
