Shatabdi express in reverse direction!

Shatabdi express in reverse direction!
Deccan Herald

For all those business men racing against time or for those shopoholics itching to go on a day-long saree shopping spree at Chennai, the Shatabdi Express in the reverse direction may seem a God-send.

The daily shuttle service of Shatabdi starting from Bangalore City Railway Station at 6.30 am and reaching Chennai by noon is all set to be flagged off after mid-October. Similarly, the return journey from Chennai will begin at 5.15 pm and reach Bangalore by 10 pm.

According to Divisional Railways Manager Mahesh Kumar, the Shatabdi in the return direction has been introduced as they felt that the Express from Chennai was meant mainly for customers from that region and was not catering to Bangaloreans sufficiently.

Hey PPL !!!!

All i have to say is CHENNAI ROCKS!!!!!!

I was born and brought up in bangalore ...lived there for 20 yrs .Best days of my life ..it used to be this quiet town which was clean ,green and a place to be seen. Not anymore.

Moved to chennai 7 yrs ago ..thought it was the worst thing to happen back then .Now i can proudly say that chennai is where i'd wanna be .

You just have the weather in bangalore and maybe a few pretty girls ...i'd say more quantity than quality.

In chennai,
1.traffic moves ..u dont have to get stuck every 5 mins
2.the roads are wider
3.was voted least polluted metro 2 weeks ago
4.i think it has more restaurants ..my friend from b'lore made that observation
5.has a mall thats 5 times bigger than forum ...and not in some suburb...on mount road
6.has a party scene that is consistent ....a party every weekend at a beach house apart from 5 night clubs and a couple of pubs
7.and no we dont have a water problem anymore....no power cuts either
8.i almost forgot about the best part ...the beach ...and the longest coastline ...with the most amazingand scenic road till pondicherry ,EAST COAST ROAD.

I hate the fact that b'lore has becme what it has today ...lost its charm .it could have grown into a bigger city ...with whitefield and other areas being a part of the devlopement....but everybody wants to be on brigade road ....too bad!
