BANGALORE: Minister for Public Works and Energy H.D. Revanna has directed the chief engineers (both South and North Zones) to submit a detailed proposal to take up pothole-filling on major district roads on top priority in the state.

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, Revanna said considerable extent of major district roads had been damaged due to floods.

The potholes on those roads have been causing hardships to the people. Stating that the chief engineers had been asked to submit their proposals within a week, the minister said funds would be released for to fill the potholes immediately and work would be taken up soon after the rains stopped.
