How can you do your bit for the environment? Ride a cycle. If not everyday, then at least on June 19. A massive cycle rally is being organised by childcare organisation SOS Children’s Village, along with environment group Eco Watch and IT major Intel Technology, to promote eco-friendly means of transport in Bangalore.

The cycling event would be flagged off at the Maneckshaw Parade Ground, and bicycle enthusiasts will also get to make their own statements on a huge graffiti placed at the flag off point. The identified route will be from Manipal Centre, via Trinity Circle, MG Road, Richmond Road, Hudson Circle, Kasturba road, finally ending at Maneckshaw Parade Ground. The three-hour event will commence at 7 am.

At the end of the rally, the graffiti, along with a memorandum for creating cycling tracks in some points of Bangalore will be presented to the Government. For details regarding registration please contact Vidya at 2212 8422 or 2248 4002 / 3.
