Bangalore: The two encounter deaths in the last week not with - standing, the city’s crime graph continues to climb upwards.
Barely days after Chhota Rajan aide Abdul Razzack and notorious robber Nasru — believed to have been behind several robberies on the city roads — were shot dead, the IT Corridor witnessed three robberies since Sunday night.
Around eight to 10 persons travelling in two autorickshaws intercepted a car near the NAL office — on the road leading to Suddagunte Palya in Byappanahalli police limits — on Sunday night. They picked a fight with car owner Jayanth of Horamavu, snatched his watch and Rs 500 and drove away in his car. His car was found abandoned on the road the next morning.
In another incident, a software engineer Anita Alex was robbed in Madiwala police limits on Monday morning. A gold chain worth around Rs 15,000 was stolen from her.
Three persons on a motorcycle snatched a hand bag containing cash and valuables from 35-year-old Kavitha while she was in an auto near Ramamurthynagar on Sunday night.
According to the police, Indira was returning to her house in BEML Layout, Indiranagar, when she was robbed of her bag.
Minor raped: A 16-year-old girl was reportedly raped by a 22-year-old neighbour in Rajagopalanagar on Sunday evening. Police have arrested the accused, who allegedly raped the girl on the pretext of taking her out for a walk.
