Bangalore: The BCC seems to be getting ready to step up the development of parks this summer. At the inauguration of a new park at Prashantnagar on Friday, the minister for primary and secondary education, Ramalinga Reddy said: “Seventeen parks will come up in Jayanagar. We have already spent Rs 16 crore on sprucing up Lal Bagh. Every year more than Rs 30 crore would be spent on parks.’’ On the state budget he said: “This budget proves that the government is pro-rural.’’
The new Siddhaguda Park was set up at a cost of Rs 18 lakh with amenities like landscaped gardens, ramps for physically challenged persons and laughter club among others.
