Aero show: Motorists’ woes to touch the sky

Motorists’ woes to touch the sky

Bangalore: The fourth edition of Aero-India show has cheered many Bangaloreans, but has also increased the inconvenience for motorists .
Next week is expected to be a choc-a-bloc as Bangalore's roads have been unable to take such huge volumes of traffic.

On Tuesday, it was a full dress rehearsal at the Yelahanka airbase and thousands had gathered to witness the flying metal birds. As a result, the busy Hyderabad road, starting from Mekhri Circle to IAF, was completely blocked.

The ongoing work of six laning the Bangalore-Hyderabad road added to motorists' woes. The only saving grace was Yelahanka by-pass road, which has been thrown open to public, easing the pressure on other roads.

Returning from the show, one has to pass through the narrow Doddaballapur road that gets choked easily. It may be recalled that just before the previous edition of Aero-India, the Hebbal flyover was thrown open to the public, this time, Yelahanka by-pass is ready for use.
