Railway station gets a wash

The railway authorities suddenly decided to give the city railway station a bath and about 200 cleaners comprising workers and volunteers descended on the station and gave everything from the track rails to the platform a good scrub. Our railway stations have a long way to go when it comes to cleanliness. If its not the bandicoots that keep scurrying along the drains in between tracks you have all kinds of unmentionables lying over the tracks. Not to mention the litter on the platforms.
